Biography:: Michael Colgan is a highly prominent Irish theatre director and film/television producer, best known for his 33-year tenure as the Artistic Director of the famous Gate Theatre in Dublin, Ireland, from 1983 until 2017. Born in 1950, he is widely regarded as one of the most successful and influential Irish theatre producers of his generation.
